Why Jewellery
Design drawings are important?

A jewellery design drawing is the communication tool between the designer,
clients, jeweller / manufacturer. From such a drawing, everyone involved can
understand and visualize the actual piece before the production. The drawing
must be precise in order to show all the relevant details, to avoid
misunderstanding and, to allow the jeweller to make up the piece with a minimum
of assistance or explanation.
We are offering the following courses in Jewellery
Design:
Creative
process
In addition to the technical drawing, an important part of the course is to
teach you how to come up
with
original ideas by getting the inspiration from the elements around you such as:
photography, natural forms, (animals, insects, plants, landscape, sea), interior
design, architecture, folk art, fashion and every art form in general becomes
the source of inspiration for the creation of jewellery pieces.
Sketching and
painting
Professional jewellery designer and instructor Bibi will teach you the skills
required to become a creative and successful jewellery designer. You will learn
how to create jewellery design sketches, technical drawings in black
and white art work, and finish in colour. She will carefully explain and
illustrate to you, how to use different materials, in silver, in gold, in gold
with coloured stones, and in platinum with precious gems etc.
Projects
Projects include matching sets of bracelets, necklaces, brooches, earrings,
rings, small work and many other items can be explored during the course. You
will be guided how to design jewellery, by following our simple to understand
step-by-step instructions.
