Chinese Knots Beaded Jewellery

HK$ 4,000 24 hours (8 lessons 3 hours per session)

Please note stones and other materials are not included.

In this course you will learn the techniques used in Chinese Knotting for thousands of years. The aim of the course is to combine the wonderful art of Chinese knots with the amazing range of gems stones to create attractive beaded jewellery.

Today, with its classic elegance and ever-changing variations, chinese knot, is both practical and ornamental and fully reflects the grace and profundity of Chinese culture.

Names

Chinese Knotting are named according to their distinctive shapes,meaning, or pronounciation. The 12 basic knots are Double Coins, Double Connection, Wanze, Cross, Good Luck, Cloverleaf, Button, Pan-Chang, Double Loop, Round Brocade, Plafong, and Flat Knot.

You are welcome to bring your own materials (semi precious stones, cords etc) in the class.
We do not use plastic, crystal, wooden beads or base metal. Please do not ask us if you can bring these type of materials, as the techniques we use require higher quality materials.

By the end of the course you will have finished a few pieces.
